Well my first month on Clomid 50mg I took it cd 3-7. I didn't have any side effects while takeing it which worried me a little, made me think it wasn't working. Well let me tell you it was working, as soon as I finished the last pill I started getting hot flashes. That was my only side effect. Well I didn't O that cycle.

So the next cycle the Dr. upped me to 100mg still cd 3-7 and again as soon as I finished the last pill on came the hot flashes, but for me they were twice as bad as the first month. Guess because the dose doubled so did the hot flashes... lol.. I got them so bad one day my mom said "look your whole neck is turning red and it's moving up to your face" I said "trust me I know, it's a hot flash" I about froze DH out of the house and this is during the winter mind you..

Well luckily I Od on this dose. Don't know yet if I got pg yet or not, But you know what, even if I didn't and have to do another round of 100mg or even higher I can handle the hot flashes .....

It will be all worth it for a baby...

The month I was on clomid I had slight hot flashes.
The second month bad hot flashes.
I had 2 eggs in the follicle stage and 1 not ready.
Still nothing.
I couldn't imagine the hot flashes
getting worse in the third month.
The third month they were just terrible
and you could feel the heat just sitting next to me.
I froze my husband out and slept with no blankets or clothes!
I had 4 eggs ready and 2 not. I still didn't get pregnant.
My dr. said it's not wise to keep anyone on clomid more than
three months and our next step is shots everyday.
My husband and I are waiting until March to start that.
I wish any one on clomid all the luck.
The hot flashes are worth it
if you get the gift at the end. Psavage

The first month I took clomid, I didn't have any side effects.
I was quite smug about it too. I thought I would
be getting off easy. The second month
I was on clomid I had incredible hot flashes.
I wanted to sleep naked in my windowsill.
I was also really emotional.
I was completely convinced that there
was something wrong w/ me and that I couldn't have kids.
By the time I was done w/ the round I was fine.
Both months were 50mg and I o'd around cd# 17 or 18.
Second month though, I had to take the hcg shot to make
myself o. The third month they made me take 100mg
and I swear someone had to talk me down from a ledge.
It was so bad. I was depressed, emotional,
and very moody. I didn't really get hot flashes
this time though. My follicles were mature
though at cd#14, and just recently
I went in for my second IUI after giving
myself the shot on day 14.

I have two beautiful and wonderful daughters, both conceived with clomid. It's my favorite medication in the whole world!!

With my first daughter the clomid (50 mg ) worked the very first time. I do remember some hot flashes but nothing to complain about because I wanted a baby so bad! I was 24 at the time, then 3 years later we were using the clomid again and not having as good as luck. I tried the 50 mg two times , then the 100 two times .

I would have eggs but they just weren't getting large enough. Then my doctor let my try 150 mg and I just knew it would work but it didn't the first cycle. She said I could try one more time and if it didn't work we would have to be referred out to another doctor and get daily shots.

She was just my OB-GYN and that was as far as she could do. So, on the last cycle of 150 mg, I had ONE egg on the right ovary and she gave me an HCG shot to make me ovulate and I did and I got pregnant!

I even have a picture of the egg before my baby was a baby. I was 27 when the clomid worked again. My two girls are 3 and a half and 8 months.

We would love to have a third child and hope the clomid will work again for us!!!! M.Nails

My first month on Clomid, I thought I was doing great with no symptoms, or so I thought =0 DH was walking around with a blanket around him, saying I was freezing him out of the house since I was taking drugs. LOL

I had hot flashes, and extreme moodiness, very irritable. I was just yelling at everyone in sight =( but thankfully was able to see it for myself (hard to miss it) and tried harder to keep it under control. I did get occasional sharp pains in my pelvic area. Just a little over a month after I finished the Clomid, I had some blurriness for about 10 min. out of my right eye, but it only happened the one time.

I was on 50mg. Cd's 3-7 and O'd on CD14 (without Clomid I didn't O until cd17). I had and hCG shot on cd13 and an IUI cd14 (since the clomid dried up my CM). I did conceive the first cycle, unfortunately had an early m/c. I had a months rest and will start round 2 tomorrow. Hopefully I'll be back in a month posting that it was a success!!!
