Cervical Mucus is a very important part of fertility.
Mucus is what protects sperm from the acidic atmosphere of the vagina.
EWCM is the most fertile mucus!
EWCM with small clots is EXTREMELY fertile mucus
Mucus changes throughout cycle: Types of CM:

• Dry - Damp
• Sticky - Crumbly
• Creamy - Lotion-like
• Clear - Slippery - Stretchy

  Things that increase quality and quantity of Cervical Mucus:

• Drink plenty of water
• EPO (Evening Primrose Oil)
• Alfalfa
• Vitamin A - Carrot Juice is a natural source
  maybe why rabbits are so fertile!
• Guaifenesin Syrup
  a/k/a expectorant
  will thin the mucus you have
• Antihistamines dry up mucus.

  Vaginal Infections:

• Itching; and
• Unpleasant Odor

  Checking for CM:
  When you are most fertile (EWCM)
  you may find it on toilet paper.
  Generally you have to dig for it:
  After showering (cleanest)
  squat down, buttocks on heels
  reach gently past labia (lips)
  into vagina (where you put tampon)
  with your middle finger
  swirl the finger around cervix
  (the penis-like structure that hangs in vagina).

  If you put some saliva on a slide let it dry and look at the slide
  through a 100X power microscope you are fertile when there is ferning like this:
  and you do not have fertile mucus when it looks like this:
