Dear MommaKath, Here is my success story. I have been ttc #1 for 17 months. I stopped the BCP 17 months ago and my periods also stopped. I went to the doctor every 3 months to take Provera to bring it on. My doctor had suggested I use Clomid to help me ovulate. I declined thinking that the next cycle will be it. In the mean time, I was charting and taking temps, but it is pretty discouraging and useless when you are not ovulating. Well, by July 2000, 14 months later, I decided to start Clomid. I was waiting too long and I still wasn't ovulating even though I was spotting (but still not my period). The first cycle I took it (50mg), I was so excited and had such high hopes. I charted and ended up ovulating on Day 26. By that time, we gave up the cycle and did not BD as much so we missed the opportunity. The second cycle, we BD every day for two weeks straight, and I ovulated on the perfect day 14. However I still did not get pregnant and I was so depressed. I was crying and had never felt more sad. It never occurred to me that I would never ever have my own biological child and now, reality was hitting home. At the end of our 2nd cycle, my DH had a SA done and the results were not that good. His motility and sperm count was lower than average. I cried so much that day. I felt like everything was against us. On my 3rd round of Clomid, I was debating whether or not to take Clomid because I was going to be traveling on a business trip on Days 14-18. I wrote into this board for
advice. My fear was that stopping Clomid would disrupt my cycle, starting
the whole anovulatory pattern again. A woman wrote and suggested that I BD
like crazy up until Day 14, and resume once I came home on Day 18. Well,
guess what?? It worked and I am now 8 weeks pregnant. I took my temps and
could tell that I ovulated on Day 19 or 20.
I didn't really have symptoms. I had slightly sore breasts
but I couldn't really tell because of that. I refused to test until 18DPO.
My luteal phase is usually 13-14 days. My temps remained high. I did not
want to dash my hopes by taking a pg test prematurely. At 18DPO, I bought
two tests. I tested after work and there was a quick but faint line. I
think I drank too much liquids prior to the test. Then the line disappeared
after several hours and I thought, OMG, what if that was an evaporation
line? I took the test first thing the next morning, and sure enough, there
was a line immediately and this time, it was darker.
I wish you all lots of luck!!! -MaxineR, EDD 6-22-01

Posted By: Hannah & company...TRIPLETS!
OK, I had my first u/s yesterday..does anyone want TRIPLET DUST???? *M* Here's the story--sorry if's kind of long! In March of 2000 we decided to start ttc. My period were very irregular-25-47 days apart at times. So in September my doctor decided to try us on 50 mg of Clomid. Well that one dose did it. We found out we were expecting 2 days before our 2 year wedding anniversary (October 16) On our anniversary (the 16) we went to the emergency room at the request of our doctor because I was having severe cramps and sharp pains. We know now that it was from all the growing my uterus is doing! they took a beta test that came back very high...438 at 16 dpo. We have had so many people telling us since then that we are having at least twins. Well when we got to the doctors yesterday and she got the u/s all situated and turned on we immediatly saw two babies..they looked GREAT! then she moved around some more and three babies popped up on the screen. We couldn't believe it! they are all measuring at 7 1/2 weeks and all have great heart beats! I can't beleive they are all as big as they are! I'm so glad that they all look so healthy and seam to be kicking strong. We have been re-assinged to a high risk pregnancy doctor and meet with him today and will hopefully get a lot more information about having triplets. Also I think we'll get to see them again! Thank you all for answering so
many of my questions and being so
supportive!
with love,

I am still in shock. I feel like I've won the largest jackpot in the world. DH and I have been ttc#1 for about 2 years. It's unexplained infertility. I had very irregular cycles so my RE put me on clomid 1 year ago. That didn't work so we tried IUI. First IUI with just clomid was unsuccessful. The second IUI with injectibles,
What I did differently was put all my faith in God.
Bless everyone on this board
Baby dust to all.

I have had a really busy weekend with out of town company. First of all I want to Thank all of you for all your support and good wishes. This has been a really tought month. My sister in law just announced she is 8 weeks and I was really jealous. I went to see an Re ( he really didn't do anything for me except my husbands sa). I had my appointment in the middle of my cycle. Next month we were going to have an hsg and iui. We have been trying for almost a year. Went off bcp in December 99. Started temping in August. I determined I had an lp defect and according to my research I needed clomid. My cycles were also mostly very short. 20-22 days. So
I called my ob and told him I wanted clomid. He said OK. Took it for 3 months. My temps this month were absolutely crazy. FF had
to manually override ovulation. I took humibid( pill form of robitussin) - my doc prescribed for allergies. I took b6 1,000 mg of epo(for
the first time)my cm is really bad. epo kind of helped. I also took baby asprin. The other thing i think did it was i switched from K-Y
JELLY TO astroglide
