    It's positive!!
I just tested again and the line started
    developing within five minutes.
I thought this cycle was strange.
I did have 3 negative hpts already
    so I wasn't expecting this.

    Details:

    Sporadic temping this month.
Heartburn, burpy, low and hard cervix
    with sporadic creamy cm.
    Very tender breasts, massive headaches,
    and weird appetite.

I wasn't going to test but yesterday my
cp changed to high and mushy but still
closed so I thought something was weird.

    Here is the shocker though.
My temp dropped to coverline the day before
I tested so I thought for sure I was getting af.

So now I just have to figure out how to tell the dh!!
    Any suggestions??

    Moving on up...it's +++! (m)(l)
    Wow! I can't believe it,
but after 7 long months of trying,
    we are finally pregnant!
I have been reading these boards for over a year,
waiting to be able to join them,
and then wishing I could get off of them!
This month, for those of you who want to know,
    we tried 2 different things.
    We used an ovulation kit-
and I realized that I O'ed much later than I thought-
and I applied progesterone cream on my stomach,
thighs and breasts twice a day(morning and night).
I dont know what worked, but whatever it was,
    we are simply amazed!
I was scheduled for an endometrial biopsy
next month, as we all thought I had a luteal phase defect.

My symptoms are: cervix very high and very closed and hard
since O no real unusual discharge or spotting sore breasts,
a little more than during PMS headaches,
    dizziness and forgetfulness
    I tested + with a fact-plus on (I think) day 9,
and several others were light- yes I tested lots :)
We had a blood test yesterday morning at 9 DPO(I think)
and HCG came up very low at 21, not very good numbers.
Nurse told me not to get our hopes up,
as they are looking for at least 25.
She wouldn't do another test earlier than 1 week,
so I called my general doctor and he felt compassion
    (we miscarried once before)
and ordered a test for the next day.
My 2nd test the next day came out a whopping 53!
    I cried...wow, almost tripled overnight.
    Our blessings were answered.
I was so worried about the numbers,
that I had not slept at all.
I'm sending preggo dust everyone's way

In Response To: CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!Details and Dust please!!!!! (nt) (Susan S)

I've been travelling a lot the past 6 weeks. Af came last on 8/18. We DTD on cd12, cd16 and cd 19. I figure cd16 was it bec. I usually have 30 day cycles. We DTD at like 2 AM and I was half asleep (well for a while anyway).

Had no pg symptoms to speak of, just a slight pulling feeling around 4-5 dpo in my lower abdomen. My bbs just started to get their AF feeling yesterday and I've had no spotting.

    A Miracle!

For over a year and a half my DH and I have been TTC. He is 39 and I am 37.

After 8 months we finally went to the doctor for assistance. DH tested fine. But for me the results were not as welcome. After an inconclusive ultrasound and HSG, we were sent to an infertility specialist. He scheduled me for a laparoscopy/hysteroscopy the next month. Again, the findings were not good.

It was determined that I had been exposed to DES while my mother was pregnant with me. The lower portion of my reproductive organs were deformed from the exposure. The upper portion (uterus minus a cervix, tubes and ovaries) all looked normal.

The only option the doctor could offer was GIFT. With low success rate, no insurance coverage for the procedure and the expense, DH and I decided to focus on adoption. Little did we know that while we were sitting there talking with the doctor that I was a few weeks PREGNANT!

We believe that the hysteroscope worked like roto-rooter and opened any blockage I may have had.

We still have a long way to go as I am at high-risk not only for my age, but because of the DES, so we thank God everyday that we are able to keep this baby.

My advise - Let go and let God. When I finally stopped trying to control everything and put it in His hands, our prayers were answered.

    Good luck to everyone TTC!

    Success Story - DonnaD
    Well,--Here it is!

We got off the pill in 11/98 but didn't start TTC until 3/99. I had one cycle in March and then I did not have another cycle for 3 months. My doctor put me on Provera in 7/99 to get my cycle going again. We got pregnant 8/22/99.

What did we do: Well, I really didn't think that I was going to ovulate after the Provera (it took me 25 days) so I called my doctor and he told me he was going to put me on Clomid. That was on a Friday. Since I had given up hope this month of ovulating, we DTD on Saturday just for fun. Then on Sunday my temp dipped lower than it ever had before--96.8. We didn't even DTD on Sunday, but I guess Saturday's was enough, because on Monday my temp went up to 97.3, then 97.6, then 97.8. It stayed at 97.8 for 4 days and then it went triphasic. It went to 98.0, then 98.2, then 98.4 and stayed up for the rest of the week. The last temp I took was 98.8, but at the advice of the women on the alumnae board I put my thermometer in the medicine cabinet.

I took a clear blue easy at 13 dpo and got the faintest line. It disappeared after about 1 hour. Then I took EPT at 14 and 15 dpo and got a stronger line that never went away. I just got the beta test from my doctor to confirm that we are pregnant.

What we did differently: Not much. I did start B6 this month. I did not know whether or not we had a luteal phase problem but I figured it wouldn't hurt. I think the Provera was what did it for me. It just jump started my system and sent it into gear. I'm sure it didn't hurt that I wasn't stressing out about it at the time either (probably the first time in 5 months that I hadn't been).

Symptoms: I did have sore breasts about a week after conception (they have gotten worse now).
About 14 dpo I started to get a little nauseous, especially if I didn't eat anything, but not to the point of throwing up.
I did have yellow cm after 14 dpo. I am tired, but not extremely so.
I don't have to urinate that often, only when I drink a lot.
I do get a metallic taste in my mouth occasionally (that's weird).
I did not have an implantation dip, and I just had the tiniest spot of pink at 12 dpo.

We are so happy. This is something that we both wanted very much.

Thank you all for your support. I don't think I could have made it through those 3 months without you.

Here's some fresh dust for you
