I was going to wait to write this but no matter what happens I still did something different and got PG. I am now spotting again and having some minor cramps. This cycle was my 3rd round of clomid 50 mg. I switched myself to days 3-7 since I had read that you will more likely conceive with taking it those days. My DR said not true! Won't she be surprised when I tell her!! :) I O'd right on time CD 14.

My temps stayed lower then my normal for after O. We BD every day starting with CD10. Ok something real personal here but your all friends, we did it doggy style almost every time. It popped into my mind the month I got PG with my DS that's how we did it. CLoser to the cervix you know!! I was taking 1500 mg of EPO, two cups of green tea a day, and tool robi the night of CD13 which did help since my EWCM was not as good as normal except one day early in my cycle. I then had creamy from the day of O on, which I have almost every cycle.

I put a pillow under my hips for 30 min every time and one night even laid on my stomach with the pillow under. My last PG took 13 months and 7 round of clomid. At 9 DPO I started feeling bloated and nausea. I have felt nausea many cycles.

By 10 DPO I was feeling extra tired and started taking naps and would be down for at least 2 hrs, not normal for me. I then got gas and it would not let up which was not a normal either. I also found I would fill up on foods much faster and had very little appetite. I eat like a horse around AF time but not this month. BB's got sore at 10 to 11 DPO.

Not like I always read about though. They were sore under my arms more and right at the top of them like in the muscle. My nipple were maybe a little sore but not much there. MY BB's get full and sore every month but 2 days before AF would stop. I had a small rise in temps and got excited and thought wow that is now why my sense of smell is so intense!!! Then I had the big DIP on 12DPO saying AF would be on time the next day. I went out and bought my clomid and made an appt with the dentist. My dentist is the one who said make double sure you are not PG. So that night at 13DPO since af still had not showed all day I took the HPT (ANSWER brand test at 100. I got a faint++ but it was pink and solid. I had some cramps like AF was coming. Later that night I decided to check my CP and see if it had changed yet. It had moved a little higher and felt kind of mushy compared to normal.

An hour later I had red/pink blood when I wiped. I bawled my eyes out thinking it was AF and the stupid test was wrong! I had called 3 of my best girlfriends and now I wasn't PG just like that! I called poor Tamara at 10:00 at night to cry on her shoulder!

Next morning the spotting was very light and more brownish so I called DR and went for a beta. Remember my temps are still lower. MY beta came back +++ but low at 17.8 with all three of my PG's I had low #'s at first but didn't loose any of them. With my last one I had even taken in my chart and the DR said by my temps I was not PG and I was and he is now 1 1/2. SO my temps are low now, Im spotting, and my beta was low but I am still PG. I go in tomorrow for another beta to check #'s and I will let you all know! I am very tired today and still have to force myself to eat. I said over and over to myself IT WILL HAPPEN and you all need to keep saying that!

I want to thank all of you so much for all of your support and advice! This site with all of you women has been my life saver and the thing that made me carry on when I wanted to give up. If I would have given up I would not be here today to write this. Oh and one more thing my DH said last night to me he knew I was PG by me taking naps and also because I was grouchy lately! I don't think so but he and the kids say yes!! LOL : )

I love all of you and will send you hugs filled with PG dust all the time until none of you need it!
Mimi and I had teased several times that being CB's we were going to be PG buddie also and it did happen. I wanted to bring you with me Tamara and many others of you but you will be right behind us!!!

    IT WILL HAPPEN!!!!!!
Much love and hugs filled with PG dust,
    Stacey 36

    Dear Momma Kath,

I just wanted to say thank you for having started your website and for the helpful and encouraging words you give to all of us out there who are losing hope of getting pregnant.

I have been trying since Jan 2000 and had been on Clomid for 7 months and next month my Gynae recommended IUI for the first time.

However, it was not needed! I am just 4 weeks pregnant and looking forward to the next 34! I do have some interesting news that you and your other site members may be interested in.

There is a charity here in the UK called Foresight which has conducted research into the role of nutrition into preconception care. They have a marvellous record with 360 couples who had either unexplained infertility or repeated miscarriages. The couples had a hair sample taken for analysis for mineral/vitamin deficiency and any excess metals (lead, aluminium etc) They were given a programme (basically a very healthy diet) with supplements to balance their requirements, and told to wait for 4 months before trying to conceive. By the way this was for the men as well as the women! After that time they were retested and told to maintain the diet.

327 couples conceived with all natural, healthy and correct weight babies.

I would recommend this to anyone trying (I was to start and had already started the diet in anticipation!) The Charity has a website.

I am sure that there must be a similar organisation working in the US, but foresight are willing to take members from overseas.

Thank you again for your support, and if you need any more information on the charity, please let me know and I can forward their details to you.

    With kind regards

    Pippa K

After 24 months ttc #1 we are finally pregnant!! It still seems unbelievable as if I will wake up and someone will have snatched it away. We had started adoption papers and decided to do IVF in Nov. and if it was unsuccessful we would quit all medical procedures. I was so tired of all the appointments, drugs, disappointments, etc.

I have been through about every test and procedure possible. I have had a lot of unexplainable spotting (I have spotted for 7-10 days BEFORE my period before). I saw a Dr. who did a D & C thinking it was polyps. It was not. He also shot water up my tubes and said they were fine. He put me on clomid for 4 months. I did not really think he knew much and decided to go see a specialist in January (Dr. Hatasaka at the University of Utah--A GREAT Doctor). He did a hystosalpinogram? and said one of my tubes was blocked. They did a laparascopy and scope to try and unblock it. They could not, but in the process he discovered I had endometriosis which he cleared away. Interestingly enough, the spotting went away after the surgery but has since been coming back (gets worse every month). I went on clomid for a couple of months after the surgery. No luck. Then we tried I.U.I with clomid for two months. Nothing. Last month we tried the follistem with I.U.I. That did the trick!!

I called Friday to schedule my trial transfer for IVF and they told me the results of my blood test taken that morning were ++. I was shocked! My stomach has been completely distended and painful but my Dr. said that was a result of the medications. Otherwise no signs at all. My husband and I feel this is a miracle. After so many disappointments it has finally happened! We are like two little kids that have just unwrapped the best Christmas gift in the world.

As painful and heartbreaking as the past two years have been, I feel as if I have learned invaluable lessons through this trial. I pray I never forget them. I have also learned (once again) that when all is said and done we do all that is in our power to do, and the rest lies in God's hands. There are times that we must simply lay our hearts at his feet and ask his will to be done and for his comfort to sustain us.

During this process I have often thought of Tom Hanks in the Castaway. He is talking about how he knew that he would never get off that Island. He knew he would not. All he could do was keep on breathing, keep on living. And then one day -he woke up- and the tide had brought him his sail. So it has happened with us, our sail has finally come in. I believe it can for all of us

I'm an overweight success story :-)

In Response To: Anyone out there already conceived ot TTC while overweight?

I was also 70lbs over weight when I finally got pg after trying for 3.5 years. I have pcos. I was very lucky I was not hungary during my pg. I begged the baby to use what I had first then add on at the end. The first tri-mester I lost 13 lbs. and gained 15 the whole pg, so I like to say I gained 2 lbs. from pre pg weight. :-)

Try to cut down on carbs and sweets, because we always have the risk of getting gestational diabetes. Of course you know that being in better shape, not just down in weight will be so much easier for you and the baby. Start walking, not so much to lose the weight but to be in better shape, Do pelvic lifts to strengthen the lower abdomen for the 9 monht trip and delivery. :-)

Now that I've dished out that advice I'd better start eating it myself LOLOL

    Good Luck to you
    Ann Marie
P.S. after dd's delivery I was down 40lbs. from pre pg weight,
BUT well somehow 1/2 of that has found it's way back to me ARGHHHHHH
