Thanks girls!!! My story if ya want it! +++++++
My husband and I were married July 27th, 2002
and we decided beforehand that that would be
the night we would try to start our family. 2 years ago
I was diagnosed with carcinoma in citu (Cervical cancer)
After the surgery, my periods become really erratic
and they altogether stopped for 8 months.
We had decided we wanted kids so 2 months
before our wedding we went to see my obgyn
and he put me on progesterone for 7 days to kick in my cycle.
It worked and we waited for the following cycle.
Nothing. 2 months we waited and finally he put me
on progesterone again and since it was obvious that
I was not ovulating and not gonna get my period,
he also put me on clomid per my request.
I used opks on both of my cycles
and got positives on cd 17 both times.
We bd everyday we could when it was time.

My symptoms...during ovulation were several bouts of cramps...
not gonna die but extremely uncomfortable for a few minutes each time.
    No implantation bleeding
( and girls...I studied that tissue each and every single time) lol!!
Tons of cm at 8-10 dpo! It was to the point I posted about it.
My temp seemed to drop a couple times
but that could be due to me walking around a bit then taking it.
At 11 dpo I felt nauseous in the morning for about 5 min.
Nothing big ...thought I had gas!
We tested at 12 dpo and got 2 lines on the Answer brand test
( Ive seen this particular brand testing out at 25 and 100 mlU. )
I immediately called the doctors office to confirm with a blood test
and he called last nite at 4 pm...preggo!!!!!
My progesterone is at 38 which I thought was low
but he said was good considering I am not even late yet!!!!
    Today...no symptoms whatsoever...
except I cant get this smile off my face!!!!!!!
You girls have been so great in the last few months I have been here.
In the beginning I was so scared to post for fear that
I was going through something that no one else was experiencing...
but now I realize that I can help...
even if only to encourage and answer ?s!
I'm throwing baby dust in the air...
    come on girls...
    roll in it..@@@@@@@@@@@!!!!!!
I love you all...you have helped so many!!!!!

Posted By: Tamara.....41, adoptive/foster mom... and PG!
Saturday, 8 March 2003, at 03:33 PM Haven't been here for awhile, but...
wanted to come on to share that, much to my amazement,
I am pg! Still in shock, and holding my breath for my second hcg results
(should get them in about an hour), but happy to know
that this is still a possibility for me at 41.
I had pretty much taken myself out of the ttc game
after my 4th failed iui, last August,
so was not really keeping track of my cycle.
I was scheduled for a mammogram on Weds. morning,
    and looked at the calendar,
because I knew they would ask when my last cycle started.
Realizing that I was on cd30 of my usual 24/25 day cycle,
I picked up a test on the way to the clinic, and got a big + in the clinic restroom!
Hcg was only 98 on Weds.,
so we'll see what the new # is. I had 2 m/c 2 years ago,
so am trying to stay positive.
    Will keep you posted!

    +++++BFP+++++
    Good Afternoon Ladies,
Tested last night at only 12dpo and got a bfp.
Used a first response and test line and positive line
showed up at the same time right away!!!!
    I could not believe it.
I only took the test to ease my mind and focus on the next cycle.
Hadn't even thought about it possibly being positive.
Even bought a double pack to have one for next month.
Took the second one this morning just to be sure.
    Same thing. Both lines simultaneously.
Love and baby dust to you all.
    Kathy

My dh and I were married March 12, 2000.
In October we decided to start working on a family, so we did.
We both 'knew' we would get pg quickly, so we weren't too aggressive.
We didn't temp, didn't use opk's, just bd when we thought it was the right time.

In June 2001, when we still weren't pg, we decided to have dh tested.
We knew that was less invasive and less expensive than having me tested.
When his results came back normal,
we made an appointment for me to get checked out.
I saw my new dr in July 2001 and he looked over the sa results
and prescribed me clomid 50 mg. No exam, nothing.
He didn't tell me to use opks, didn't tell me to chart my temp,
nothing about cm or cp. All he said was take one pill days 5-9
and have intercourse at least every other day, days 12-19.

I started the clomid in August 2001.
I continued on the clomid through January 2002
when I went in for my first ultrasound to check follies.
During the ultrasound they found a very large cyst on my left ovary.
The dr wanted to check it out further, so we scheduled a lap for February 2002.
During the lap the found endo and removed that as well as drained the cyst.
They couldn't remove the cyst without taking the ovary also.

We tried again in February to get pg with no avail. In March 2002,
my dr said we needed to go a step further. Induced menopause.
    I was in shock! Menopause???
I can't get pg during menopause! What was he thinking???
Without any other alternatives, we did it.
I had my first Lupron injection in March and my second in June 2002.

September 2002 I was expecting AF to return. Nothing...
I went to the dr and he gave me and injection of Provera to get AF started.
Nothing. I went back to the dr in October and
he put me on 100mg clomid to jump start my cycle and bring on AF.
Nothing. In November we went back to the dr, still no AF
and he put me on BCP for one month, hopefully to bring on AF.

Two weeks after starting the BCP I started AF (December 2002). Hooray!!!
Finally!!! I had a prescription of Clomid 150 mg to start using, which I did.
After a few days of trying to contact my dr with no response,
    I fired him.

My hairstylist told me about this site and I've been here ever since.
I learned so much regarding charting temps, opks, cm and cp!
I immediately went out and bought TCOYF,
which I read cover to cover in about 4 days.

I found a new dr (January 2003) who looked over dh initial sa (from June 2001)
and found some problems with RBC and WBC (red and white blood cells).
Suddenly our infertility was not because of me, but dh.

My new dr said that the clomid, lap, and menopause could have all been unnecessary. OMG!!!
You have got to be kidding me!
You're telling me that we're back at square one, wasting well over a year and a half???
DH needed to redo his SA and follow up with his urologist.

Well, we got the SA redone, but weren't able to follow up.
The soonest we could get him in to see the urologist was February 26. I had started spotting 5-10 dpo.
At 7dpo I was sure it was all over, I had red spotting with small clots.
I was throwing in the towel for that cycle with the plan of taking February off and starting again in March.
    However, I continued temping.

At 14 dpo, my temp still hadn't dropped. I only had one month of charting to go off of
and that month had a lp of 15 days with the drop in temp starting at 14 dpo.
On February 5 (15 dpo) my temp went up to 99 instead of going down.
Oh well... what the heck... I'll test. I know it'll be bfn, but the curiosity got to me.

    Very faintly positive!!!
I told dh and he said not to get excited.
On my way home from work I bought a different brand hpt and
did that test after dh got home from work. BFP!!!
I went to the dr the following day and it was confirmed, EDD 10/14/03.

We never did find out what our problem was, but that doesn't matter now.
To all of you ladies out there, it will happen for you!
You need to keep trying and not give up!!!
I am praying for each and every one of you!
    Camille

    On Sunday, March 9th at 6:30 a.m.
I tested positive with a home pregnancy test.
I just could not believe it. We had done it.
    We had gotten pregnant.
After over a year of treatment for polycystic ovarian syndrome,
and surgery to remove endometriosis, we conceived.
    It was the best news.
Dh was so happy to find out he was going to be a dad.
On Monday, March 10th, a blood test confirmed our pregnancy.
Sending baby dust to all of you.

    Reema

    Hello.
I just tested positive at 10dpo.
I've been lurking on this site on and off for about 3 years.
I have been TTC for 5 years. I'm 36 and DH is 47.
A little bit about me. I went to my OB in 98 and
she had me chart for sometime.
She wanted me to chart for at least a year
because I was under 35 at the time.
I stopped charting after three months b/c
    I knew something was wrong.
    I starting seeing a RE in '99.
I had all of the necessary fertility test
and the RE found nothing wrong. DA semen analysts came back normal.
    I had a LAP in 2001.
The RE flushed out my tubes
(he said I had mucus in them).
Since there was no other problem
I should get pregnant in two months.
    Nothing happened.
As a matter of fact I didn't get a period for two months.
He put me on provera and then clomid.
I conceived on the 3rd round of clomid and miscarried at 12 weeks.
My OBGYN told me to wait 2 cycles and then try again.
I ended up waiting 6 months. After my miscarriage
I took assessment of my life.
I knew there were somethings I need to do.
    One was lose weight.
    I was about 50lbs overweight.
I wanted to be in the best possible health before TTC again.
    I lost 45lbs.
2002 I went thru 5 rounds of clomid with no success.
At that point, I said this is just not going to happen.
We started to think about adoption.
January 2003 a close friend of mine gave birth to her 1st child
at age 41 after TTC for 3 years.
Now at 36 I told my husband lets try one more time.
    I didn't use any clomid.
I just went back to basics.
Taking my temps and using an OPK.
I came back to this web site and starting reading.
One thing I noticed is I never had EWCM. Also the only thing I did differently when I conceived in 2001
was on my 3rd round of cloimd,
I used a real eggwhite in place of the absence of not having EWCM.
I learned about that trick from this site.
I wasn't sure If I wanted to use the eggwhite this time
(by the way it worked fine me, I never got an infection)
This time, I wanted to increase my mucus naturally
so I starting taking EPO and Alfalfa.
I also drank tons of water, red raspberry tea and a baby aspirin a day.
When my OPK showed positive on day 14, I still didn't have any EWCM.
I had slight creamy lotion mucus and it was a very small amount.
I've had creamy lotion mucus in the past and it was never enough
    for me to conceive.
So I pulled out the egg.
I left it on the counter for 1 hour
and then used a medicine dropper to insert it.
I used about a teaspoon full.
We BD with real eggwhites on day 14,15 and 16.

  • 1 and 2dpo I had AF like cramps.
  • 3dpo nothing.
  • From 4dpo I became very fatigued.
  • I'm a night owl and usually stay up at least until midnight.
  • I can now barely keep my eyes opened after 9:30 pm.
  • From 6dpo very gassy and indigestion.
  • 7 dpo I felt like vomiting when I ate my lunch.
  • 8dpo constipation and slight red spotting on bathroom tissue.
  • 9dpo a funny taste in my mouth and sore boobs.
My temps since ovulation have averaged 98.4
I hadn't had any AF cramps since 2dpo and that started to worry me.
  • At 10dpo the AF cramps came back and I had a slight brown tint to my discharge.
I know some women test + as early as 9dpo but I said that
I would wait at least until 12-13dpo.
But I just couldn't because my pregnancy symptoms were so intense.
I brought a 1st response early test. The one that says test 4 days early.
I said to myself, I know I'm testing early
and I'm just going to be disappointed.
    Well after about 4 minutes,
I got a faint positive but certainly positive!
I'm still taking a baby aspirin a day and I now drink pregnancy tea
    in place of RR tea.
I will keeping doing those two things until my 1st visit to my OBGYN.
I thank Momma Kath and this wonderful site.
    GOD bless you!
    Tanya
  • Hi Momma Kath,

My dh and I tried to get pg w/ #2 for 13 months
    and finally its happened!
I took a test on December 20, 2002 and it was BFP!!
    Early xmas gift from God.
I am now 17 weeks pg.

I didnt think I would be able to conceive because
I had been on the depo provera shot for 1 1/2 years.
My last shot was 8/01 and AF returned in Feb. 02.
Since it takes at least 3 months for the shot to start to wear off,
we didn't technically start trying until 11/01.
Then I joined the board not long after that
    and learned about temping, etc.
O started back up in March 2002.
I began charting and checking my cp and cm.
Month after month AF would show and I was sure
the depo ruined my body forever.

In July we moved and I stopped temping all together.
I hate to say but after months of forgetting about it...it happened.

This board, you and all the ladies here have been
a comfort and support to me and I want to thank you.
I still post frequently and will continue to even after the baby is born.
    Only 5 months to go!!
    Thanks again Kathy!
    Love, dawnmargaret

    It's a success story!!!!
I've been on clomid for 6 cycles ttc #2,
this was my last cycle on 100 mg before going to the
Fertility Center for the next step.
I ordered the Clomid Supplement Pack with EPO, RR, Licorice, Alfalfa, Flax Seed Oil, Robi - 3 opk and 4 hpt.
I started right away also drinking Red Raspberry Leaf Tea
at least 3 times a day and taking 1 baby aspirin a day.
Also I tried to eat lots of baby carrots around ovulation.
I had great cm this time from cd13-18,
my temp went up on cd19.
I waited till 10dpo (Friday) to test and was very surprised
to see a faint line that developed a bit more over 15 minutes.
Saturday I tested again and it was a bit darker
then I tested again today and it was a bit darker.
My doctor had me get a blood test on Friday for hcg and progesterone.
Today they gave me the results - at 10dpo my hcg was 60
    and my progesterone was 72.
    Yeah!!
They will take blood tests again in two weeks
and then confirm with an ultrasound!

DD (almost 2) was also conceived on 100mg of Clomid,
at that time they found out that only one of my tubes is functioning -
so everything came together at the right time!
I called today to cancel my RE appt. which was
    scheduled for this Wednesday!
Oh, and I'm 37 and will be 38 in September.

Thank you so much Momma Kath
    for your regime and
    the positive, eggly thoughts + + +

    Emily
