January 4, 2005 Momma Kath, I could not believe my eyes on Christmas Eve when I got my BFP I had to test 3 times to believe it. DH and I were TTC a little over a year and I had taken clomid for 3 cycles prior to Herbs for Her. I made the decision to try Herbs for Her due to the fact I was miserable on the clomid and thought what could it hurt. I was on my first cycle of Herbs for Her when I received my BFP!! I just wanted to say THANK YOU for the great website. Thank you, Kelly (skibunny75) ++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I saw a post regarding PCOS and Vitex stating "Since women with pcos already have constant LH surges, vitex is not a good idea." I just wanted to comment. I was diagnosed w/PCOS in 1996. TTC for 6 years. No regular periods. Tried clomid, Metformin, etc. I conceived after only 4 months using Vitex and other herbs. So, everyone is different. My experience is most doctors in USA disapprove of herbs. Don't believe them. Do your own research! Thanks! October 7, 2004 My Success Story!! Hello Momma Kath! I want to thank you and let you know that I am pregnant! I was diagnosed w/ endo a couple of months ago, and was advised to get preggo right away. This was our 2nd month of ttc since my lap, and now we're expecting! I took your herbs for 2 mos, using the No 8 regime to tame abnormal tissue growth. This past month, I also started taking zinc, B vitamins and a baby aspirin. We've actually been on a long road of ttc off and on for about a year and a half. I felt like this is the month we tried the most, and it worked! Along with your herbs of course! I feel they helped me, so a big THANK YOU! I just hope I'm not getting excited too soon, and I hope the baby is fine and the pregnancy goes well. I'm only about 5 weeks along (probably 4 since I believe I o'd late due to stress), my edd is 6/9/05. Thank you again, your site is wonderful!! Again, thanks for all you do:) Rebecca aka Rebsie My ttc story I have been reading this board every month for inspiration and didn't think I would every get to tell my story, so here goes sorry if it is little long. We started ttc just less than 2 years ago. Since I was around 34 at the time, after 6 months we decided to get tested to make sure everything was ok. DH father is a surgeon at the hospital where the IVF clinic is and the main doctor there was a distant relative so we basically jumped the gun a little, didn't see any GP's or Gyno's but straight to the RE. After testing both of us, he thought I may have got PCOS, DH tests were in normal range although a little slow so he suggested Clomid. 50mg worked fine, my cycles were around 32days instead of 40days but no luck. Cutting a long story short, it didn't work and IUI was our next step. I wasn't ready to go in this direction yet, so decided to take a break and look at things more long term. What could be done to combat my PMS and long cycles. After research I decided Acupuncture was a good route. I tried acupuncture and herbs, and after some months my cycles were shorter and my pms under control, she suggested DH come along. When I was late I took at hpt and it was a very faint line, again after 3 days the line was barely there, a little stronger than before but hard to see, that afternoon I started with cramps and spotting and AF arrived the next day. My GP said it was probably a very early m/c.The month was difficult for a number of personal reasons and I suppose that this was the reason. We continued with the TCM but made an appt to see the RE, I felt I was in a better place to start doing injectables and IUI. The appt was postponed and it gave us another month with the acupuncturist, but we didn't need it in the end. After another 4 months of TCM (that's 8 months in total) I just got my BFP a few days ago, not such a strong line but definitely a line easy to see. We decided to test again today and today well, it is there for sure, just waiting for the blood tests to confirm. Still feeling giddy. Things were definitely different this month, my attitude, my faith, and we decided to take in a dog, Angel, who did both me and DH good. Symptoms, strange, every month sore bbs etc you name it, this month basically I spotted on around 8dpo with cramps and temp dip, but this has happened before so didn't think much of it, my temps were slightly lower than normal???? Bbs sore but only in the evening, cramps now and again, and feeling slightly nauseous after eating, not much really. I hope I was able to give someone inspiration, like I have had from reading this board!! Helen Thursday, 26 August 2004, at 10:46 PM Well, I can't belive it's finally my turn to say this, but I got a BFP two days in a row on hpts and then went in for a beta today and it was 99.7! So I am for sure pregnant! I'll be having an u/s tomorrow to see if they can confirm a single or if we can expect multiples. I had 4 follies at the time of IUI so you never know. Posted By: AprilJoy Friday, 17 September 2004, at 08:21 PM I've been a lurker for many months and I post occasionally. Here's my story. I'm 27 and had been TTC #2 for over 1 1/2 years. I was devastated after 3 months on clomid 50 mg with no success. I felt emotionally drained, depressed, and I was in a HUGE funk. BTW, I didn't start ovulating until taking the clomid. My husband and I decided that I needed to stop taking the clomid and reevaluate the situation. I was super depressed. We decided that we would stop TTC altogether and that I would enroll in school to earn my masters. I truely beleived that my daughter would be an only child and I actually began to accept it and look towards my future. We BD'd every other day for the past 1 1/2 years and lo and behold the month that we BD'd only once we got the BFP. As unbelievable as it is I'm finally pregnant! OMG...It's hard to believe. What a blessing. I want everyone to know that you can get your BFP one day too. I truly believe that the clomid did help because I think i did drop more eggs even this past month while not taking the clomid. As a result of not taking the clomid I had EWCM for 6 days(somthing I rarely saw for more than 5 hours). I'm sorry this is so long and confusing. God bless you all! :) Momma Kath, I just wanted to tell you that at age 36 and after only 2 and 1/2 cycles of ttc, we did it! I took Vitex, RR, EPO/FSO w/ Lecithin, Calcium-Magnesium along w/ a B-Complex, baby aspirin & a prenatal everyday. Well after never ever being pg in my life, I got a dark & fast line on my HPT! It was such a wonderful supportive place during my 2 years of TTC. I have been through it all and this board helped me in every stage. I have a dx of unexplained infertility. I did 7 cycles of Clomid/IUI. 2 cycles of injectibles/IUI. My first IVF went well and I got pregnant! Only to be devastated by a missed miscarriage at 13 weeks. My D&C resulted in scar tissue so I had an additional surgery to clean that up. Then I did an FET and it was negative. I was so down and so devastated but I kept coming to these boards and got the encouragement I needed to carry on. I was determined to fulfill my dream to get pregnant and be a mother. So I embarked on my 2nd IVF and it went great! I made 20+ eggs and ended up with 9 perfect embryos to choose from. The changes I made with my acupuncturist really worked! After the 2ww I found out I was pregnant with TWINS! I was shocked and thrilled. Right now my 2 beautiful 10 week old girls are sleeping upstairs in their crib. Motherhood is everything I thought it would be and better. I feel like I won the lottery with two precious girls. My heart is so full and I am so incredibly grateful. Thank you so much for this website! It sustained me through the most difficult journey of my life. And now I use it as an alumnae -- the Moms of Multiples board is great! Thanks Momma Kath!
