Maddy +++++++++++++++++++++++ 2/22/05 Dear Mommakath, My first trial of the egg white was successful no infection. Thanks to this site. I was supposed to be ovulating on CD 16, my saliva microscope showed ferning on day 15, I had temp rise on day 15 and no change in temp on day 16, slight cramps on CD 15 but no CM. In the morning of CD16 brought out a fresh egg, used syring to remove the eggwhite and inserted before bedding and I HPT was -ve after 10days and +ve after 14 days. I'm pregnant. I took 8 tests just because it didn't seem possible. I was started on Clomid 50mg and it worked!! I just wanted to share as before I went on the clomid all I heard was horro stories about it. Never anything good. People were telling me I would be psycho and depressed and many other horrible things. I was started on the clomid because my Progesterone was low and I had a variation of PCOS. Not one weird symptom with the clomid!!! I kept waiting for bad side effects and nothing. I'm due in October and my husband and I are thrilled. We are also in the process of appling for adoption and are going to continue as we would be thrilled to adopt as well. Two different HPTs confirmed it, and my DR will call tomorrow with my beta results. I am shocked and stunned. My DS was conceived with clomid, which I became resistant to. THREE different drs told me I wouldn't be able to conceive w/o fertility drugs again. Let me tell you, it's been a LONG 3 years ttc#2 and I can't believe it's happened! With much love, Jackie ++++++++++++++++++++++ 1/28/05 Egg White Success Wow! we cannot believe our eyes! I'm Pregnant. After seventeen months of ttc and 17 months of dissappointments. We did it! DH and i saw two lines on two hpt this morning. We also saw the digital read out. Our first child! All it took was 30 seconds and our lives were changed forever! Here's our story: I'm 20 and Dh is 24. We got married two years ago in March of 2003. In the beginning we would freak out whenever my cycle was delayed. Then 5 months later we decided to try and have a baby. Piece of cake, Right? OH NO! Who knew gettting pg would be so hard. After 13 months of ttc we sought out medical help. DH's test came out fine. Doctors found out that I wasn't ovulating. I didn't understand why because we were both healthy and young. Anyway my obgyn put me on Clomid. First on 50mg, which didn't work, then 100 mg and i did ovulate but no baby. I was getting frusturated and said I am going to do all I can to get pregnant this month because if not I was going to give up for a couple of months. I came across thi s website 9 months ago but was skeptical so I just ignored it. Last month, I thought why not? I had nothing to lose. DH wasn't too happy about it because it did freak him out but he was willing to do anything too. EGG WHITES! Amazing. Who would of thought. I knew about the infection but decided to risk it. No infection, ladies. I did it on day 13, 14, and 16 with my hips propped up on a pillow all night...not the most comfortable position. I don't know if it was definitley the egg whites because I did so many things this last month. I started exercising, which my sis-in-law swears is what got her pg after ttc for 2 years, 5 days a week for about 45 min. Nothing heavy just walking and some light weights. I also took prenatal vitamins everyday and of course I was on Clomid. Also I know some people are not religious but that's what I also did. No matter what religion you are you should never give up faith. Turn yourself to God and see what happens. Whatever method you use, ladies, DON"T give up. I know it's an e motional wreck or a bumpy ride but it's worth it in the end. Thank you to everyone for their time and input! Good Luck to All! The only thing I did differently was use the egg white method on your web site and take a baby aspirin. Thanks for your support and encouragement. Dear Mommakath, I just want to send a little note of thanks for providing such an informative website. I ordered the Herbs for Her #2 regime in November. I was on my 5th round of clomid and I just had a gut feeling that things weren't going well with the clomid. I ceased the clomid in December and continued taking the herbs for her with Vitex. I felt the herbs were working because it shorten my cycle (which has been about 34 to 36 days) to 32 days. I ovulated (finally) on CD 11-12 and yesterday I took an hpt and the results were postive. If all goes well , this will be our third child. I am 39 years old, and we have been TTC for about 8 months. Thanks again and may you have much success with other mothers who are on the TTC journey. Good luck, everyone!!! ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ February 28, 2005 i got my + hello momm kath! i just wanted to share that on the 15th i did a home test and found out i was pg! i wasn't sure if i could believe it, so on the 16th i had b/w done and it was +!! we've been trying for about 6 yrs to get here, and it has been great! we go for our first u/s tomorrow the first of march! and i know with out this board there would have been moments i would have given up ! but the support and info you can get here is so worth every month of disappointments! i was told i'd need fertlity drugs, and i didn't need to! i guess GOD really knows what he is doing when we go thru our ttc adventure! thanks so much!! Amy ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Hi, My husband and I had tried for 8 years to get pregnant. I went to fertility doctors, and tried Clomid, temp charting, and everything else in the book. About year 7 we decided it just wasn't going to happen for us, so we started the adoption process of an 11 year old. In December of 2002 the adoption was final. In March of 2003, I had a cyst on my ovary and went to the hospital, the ER doctor sent me to a GYN for follow up. At the GYN, to treat the POCS, he was going to put me on Birth Control pills. I told him briefly my husband and my history, and our desire to have a child. He said that he had a treatment for POCS with a 90% pregnancy rate. I was skeptical at best, but I agreed to try the Metaformin that he was recommending. I began taking the medicine in the middle of March. I began my cycle on the 11th of April. I skipped my cycle in May, which was not unusual for me, and then I skipped June as well. I began to get concerned. I had some of the pregnancy symptoms, but I had been trying for 8 years, so I did not believe it. I took a hpt on June 10th 2003, and it had two bold lines. I couldn't believe my eyes, I was PREGNANT! I didn't believe it until I heard his little heart beat around week 10. I had one of the smoothest pregnancies you can have, and on January 8th, 2004 at 11:13pm I had Landon Parker. He was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. I always tell people God blessed us twice, once with the 11 year old, and twice with Landon. I feel like a complete woman now, and would like to spread the word about Metaformin. I have done extensive studying on it since it worked for me, and found it really does have a fantastic success rate for women that have POCS. Good Luck and God Bless. Janis |
